Mrs. Anna A. Rego, age 70, a resident of 603 Brown Street, Washington died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A Mass of the resurrection will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 officiated by Father Arturo Cabra at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.
Mrs. Rego was born in Queens, N.Y., on January 26, 1938, to the late Anthony and Agnes Redes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Daniel C. Beresheim, and later married John Rego who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of the New York State Thruway Authority, she owned several businesses, volunteered to several community action programs and was an active member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Frank Beresheim, of Saugerties, N.Y.; her daughter, Chrislyn Beresheim, of Washington, N.C.; her sister, Rose Thompson, of Largo, FL; her grandchildren, Daniel and Eric Beresheim, of Saugerties, N.Y., Blacke Beresheim, of Washington, N.C., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rego was also preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Ruvo.
The family will receive friends at the home located at 603 Brown Street, Washington.
