Mr. Bobby Franklin Ray, 49, of 406 N. King Street, Windsor, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, with the Rev. J.N. Baggett officiating.
Mr. Ray was born Jan. 8, 1959, the son of the late Billy Franklin Ray and Verna Mae Davis. He was married to Christie Perry Ray, who survives. He was a self employed carpenter.
Survivors include one daughter, Renata Lynn Ray of Williamston; two sisters, Judy Ray Chesson of Williamston and Joyce Ray Baggett of Cofield; four brothers, Danny Lee Ray, James Robert Ray, Marvin Gene Ray and Roy Andrew Ray, all of Windsor; his stepmother, Sylvia Ray of Windsor; three stepsisters, Lavonne Pierce Leggett of Sarasota, Fla., Lori Ann Pierce Butler of Tampa, Fla., and Karen Barber Faella of Ahoskie; four stepbrothers, Charles Pierce of Wilson, Anthony Barber and Dean Barber, both of Windsor, and Scott Barber of Wilmington and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home immediately following the service.
