GREENVILLE- Mrs. Nina Ruth Oakley Burroughs, 78, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeff Manning officiating.
Mrs. Burroughs was a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County. She was a proud and accomplished homemaker and assisted her husband with farming.
Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Burroughs, in 2000.
She is survived by daughters, Linda B. Webb and husband, Ray, of Blounts Creek, Betty B. Bonner and husband, Jamie, of Edward, and Cathy B. Smith and husband, Ron, of Greenville; grandchildren, Jonathan Webb and wife, Holly, of Jasper, Rae Lyn Jordan and husband, John, of Blounts Creek and Ray Smith and Wayne Smith both of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Calen Webb, Nicholas Jordan and Alex Jordan.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
