Mr. Harold Windell White, 79, of Colerain, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Capeharts Baptist Church with the Revs. Jake Dunlow and Bruce Dayton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Brian White, Scott White, Brad White, Chris Grimes, Neil Baker and Whit Perry will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. White was born in Bertie County on March 29, 1929. He was the son of the late Joseph Ruffin and Sallie Castellow White. He was married to Lovie Lee White, who preceded him in death. He was a farmer. He was a member of Capeharts Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include three sons, Danny W. White of Windsor and Lee Ruffin White and Bob Ivan White, both of Colerain; one brother, Joseph Gatlin White of Windsor; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor and other times at the home of his son, Danny White, 642 Pine Ridge Road, Colerain.
