Mrs. Thelma Lewis Scott, 92, of 1148 Stilley Town Road, Blounts Creek died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lewis family cemetery, Blounts Creek with pastor David Linton officiating.
Mrs. Scott was born in Beaufort County on Feb. 6, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Joshua Lawrence Lewis and Lena Rhem Lewis. She was a graduate of Aurora High School. She was married to Mayhew Leamon Scott, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen S. Sadler of Blounts Creek; one son, Gerald Scott of Atlantic; two sisters, Eula Cayton Paul of Aurora and Hazel Marie Zipperer of Valdosta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Dalton L. Scott and Linwood Mayhew Scott; five sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 950 Stilley Town Road, Blounts Creek.
