Mrs. Frances “Fran” Taychert Cox

Mrs. Frances “Fran” Taychert Cox, age 59, a resident of 86 Bright # 1 Road, Washington, died Wednesday morning, August 20, 2008 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington, officiated by Pastor Tad Tankard.
Mrs. Cox was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 6, 1948 to the late Edward Taychert and Mary Gertrude Toepper Taychert. She was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. On August 9, 1980, she married Calvage Lane Cox who survives. Mrs. Cox was a member of Harvest Church and was employed as a clerk at Hospital Pharmacy since 2001.
In addition to her husband, Calvage Lane, of the home, she is survived by her children: Sharon Denise Everette of Washington and Woodrow Wayne Everette and his wife, Kristen of Poplar Branch, N.C.; her brother: Edward L. Taychert of Avon, N.Y.; her sisters: Joanna T. Meagher of Portsmouth, Va. and Barbara S. Taychert of Norfolk, Va.; her aunt: Virginia Woodard of Virginia Beach, Va.; her grandchildren: William M. Francis and his wife, Danielle, Ashlyn N. Everette, Kyra G. Everette, Logan B. Everette and Courtney F. Everette and her great-grandchild: Damien Riley Francis.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, c/o Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
