Mr. Milton Leon Collins, 70, a resident of 407 E. Third St. in Washington, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at his home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Cornerstone Family Worship Center with Bishop James McIntyre Sr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was born in Beaufort County on Feb. 5, 1938. He was the son of the late James Obie Collins and Eva Roulhac. He attended the Beaufort County Schools.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Mae Whitaker, Delores Moore, Charles Moore, Bobby D. Roulhac, Evelyn Roulhac and Eddie L. Roulhac.
Mr. Collins was married to Alice M. Campbell who survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Shevon Ward and Pamela T. Collins, both of Washington; one stepson, Charles Stancil of Washington; five grandchildren, Karl Ward, Rashene Collins, LaTrice Collins, Cassyetta Ward and Danielle Mitchell, all of Washington; two brothers, Pastor Bobby L. Roulhac and Melvin Roulhac, both of Washington; and five sisters, Jean Cox, Carolyn Gray, Valarie Collins Barnes, Vanessa Collins and Cecelia Collins, all of Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Pamela Collins, 620 Hudnell St., Washington.
A walk-in visitation will be conducted from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home in Washington.
