Ms. Valerie Elaine Whitley, 51, a resident of 5383 Old Blounts Creek Road, Chocowinity, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at her home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Paul Funeral Home of Washington with the Rev. Glenn Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Warren Memorial Gardens.
John Mark Whitley, Michael T. Whitley, Harold Quinn, Curt Peterson, Rob Quinn and Jeff Whitley will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Whitley was born in Beaufort County on May 20, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Phillip Roscoe Whitley and Frances Fleming Whitley, who survives. She was a graduate of the Robert E. Lee School in Hampton, Va. She was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle in Hampton, Va.
Survivors include her brother, Royce Whitley, of Chocowinity.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home.
