Arce C. “A.C.” Harrison

Mr. Arce Cecil “A.C.” Harrison, 73, of 1121 Green St., Bear Grass, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Candace Worth officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Harrison was born in Martin County on April 3, 1935. He was the son of the late Gomer and Annie Gurganus Harrison. On Nov. 17, 1956, he married Betty Jean Terry, who survives. He had served in the National Guard and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Bear Grass Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Harrison and Doug Harrison, both of Bear Grass; four sisters, Marjorie Gardner of Jamesville, Christine Scurletis and Ruby Godard, both of Williamston, and Mildred Roberson of Bear Grass; two brothers, Hilton Harrison of Bear Grass and Mayo Harrison of Hamilton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Harrison; three sisters, Nola Harrison, Ada Bailey and Magdaline Peele and one brother, Alton Harrison.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
