Mrs. Charlotte Helen Paul Daw, age 91, a former resident of Pantego, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Pungo District Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Doug Stokes. Benton C. Daw Jr., Rex Harrison, Daniel Midgette, Paul Boyd, Glenn Boyd and Glenn Blake will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Daw was born on May 28, 1917, to the late Noah Fred Paul and the late Delia Iola Allen. She was a graduate of Pantego Academy. Mrs. Daw married Mr. Thomas Murry Daw on December 20, 1939, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1992. Mrs. Daw was a homemaker and a member of Pantego Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship where she served as past president.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Daw Midgette and her husband, Darrell, of Plymouth; three grandchildren, Benton C. Daw Jr. and his wife, Erin, of Winterville, Darlene Midgette Harrison and her husband, Rex, of Plymouth, Daniel L. Midgette and his wife, Connie, of Pantego; two great-grandchildren, Kyle Midgette and Destiny Midgette. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daw is preceded in death by one son, Benton Coleman Daw Sr.; one sister, Frances Paul Boyd and three brothers, Noah Fenner “Dick” Paul, Hugh M. Paul and Benton C. Paul.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
