Mr. Augustus Windley Satterthwaite Jr., 37, of 6249 Clark’s Neck Road, Washington, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Word of Life Worship Center in Washington with Bishop Aaron McCarter officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Satterthwaite was born May 19, 1971, in Norfolk, Va. He was the son of Mary Peele Satterthwaite and the late Augustus Windley Satterthwaite Sr. He graduated from Northside High School in Pinetown. He did further studies at Beaufort County Community College, Washington. His employment was as a forklift builder with NAACO Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Word of Life Worship Center, Washington.
On Jan. 30, 1995, he was married to Fenita Briley Satterthwaite who survives.
Survivors include one daughter, Ebony Satterthwaite of the home; two sons, Jaleel Satterthwaite and Ja Mauri Satterthwaite, both of the home; five brothers, Marvin Peele of Fayetteville, Gerry Satterthwaite of Chocowinity, Mitchell Satterthwaite of Greenville, Derrick Satterthwaite and Kelton Columbus, both of Washington; seven sisters, Cynthia Neal of Iowa, Tammy S. Waters of Washington, Tina Raye of Chocowinity, Tracey Satchel of Bath, Sheba Satterthwaite, Shena Mackey and Angelica Nelson, all of Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home, 6249 Clark’s Neck Road, Washington, and also at the home of his mother, Mary Satterthwaite, 805 E. Sixth St., Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
