Ms. Mary Elizabeth Lee, 83, a resident of 181 Lee Lane in Washington, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at home.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lee family cemetery with Tony Krantz officiating. Pallbearers will be James Woolard, Doug Dixon Jr., Ed Ireland, June Cherry, Julie Woolard and JoAnn Krantz. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Lee Jr. and Jimmy Lee.
Ms. Lee was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Currituck County. She was the daughter of the late James Robert Lee and Maggie Sullivan Lee. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family. Ms. Lee was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
Survivors include five nieces and four nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Lee was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace “Pete” Lee Sr., James Matthew Lee and Noah Thomas Lee, and by one sister, Elsie Magdalene Lee.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ms. Lee’s Home, 181 Lee Lane, Washington, and other times at the home of Julie Woolard, 9543 N.C. Highway 32 North, Washington.
