Russel Stanley Burtner, 81, of Washington, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Berryville, Va.
The funeral will be private.
Mr. Burtner was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Butler, Pa. He was the son of Forrest and Mary Lena Burtner. He worked for Aquaculture Magazine in advertising. He married the former Freda Holsapfel on June 30, 1956, in New Castle, Pa.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeffrey Burtner of Berryville, Va.; a daughter, Diane Conway of Charlotte; seven brothers; four sisters; and 10 grandchildren.
Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
