Mr. James Edward Floyd, 61, of 2548 Township Road, Charlotte, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, Washington, with the Rev. Ron Bousquet officiating.
Mr. Floyd was born in Pitt County on Jan. 1, 1947. He was the son of Essie Wiggins Floyd of Washington and the late Henry Floyd. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School. He was a certified public accountant.
Survivors include one sister, Joan Whichard of Washington and two brothers, Dennis Floyd of Lima, Ohio, and Michael Floyd of Washington.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Durwood Floyd and Bobby Floyd.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington.
