Mr. Kenneth Gray “Kenny” Smith, 58, of 159 Clifton Meadows, Washington, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Chocowinity, with pastor Henry Horne officiating.
Mr. Smith was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 12, 1949. He was the son of Lottie Clark Smith of Washington and the late Elwood Earl “Ed” Smith. He was a welder and had previously worked at Hackney’s. He was a member of the Improved Order of Red Men, Tau Tribe No. 18. He attended Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth E. Smith of Hillsborough and Barbara S. Elks of Washington.
The family will receive friends Saturday at the church following the service.
