GREENVILLE — Mr. Larry G. Mozingo, 87, died Wednesday, October 01, 2008.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Mozingo, a native and life long resident of Pitt County, was the owner and operator of Larry G. Mozingo Insurance Agency. He was a life long member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was the longest living male member of the congregation started on the Falkland highway which has now grown into five local congregations.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Allen Mozingo; son-in-law, John W. James III; brothers, Clarence Mozingo and Alan Mozingo; and sisters, Bruce M. Hemby, Clara M. Allen and Kathleen M. Bowen.
He is survived by his: daughters, Kathryn Mozingo James, and Sue Mozingo Williams and husband, Jerry, all of Greenville; three grandchildren, Ron Dunn, Brooke D. Allen and husband, Stephen, and Matthew Hunter Dunn, all of Greenville; four great grandchildren; sisters, Rosa M. Beverly of Jacksonville, FL, Ruth M. Ballenger and husband, Wilbur, of Lakeland, FL and Joyce M. Cutler of Washington, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Britthaven of Washington for the kind and loving attention given to Mr. Mozingo over the past nine months.
