Willis H. Collins Sr.

Mr. Willis H. Collins, 65, a resident of 203 Ridgeway Drive, Plymouth, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at the Plymouth High School gymnasium with Brother Levanace Mitchell and Brother Sylvester Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Spruill’s Eternal Rest Home Cemetery.
Mr. Willis was born on Dec. 11, 1942, in Washington County. He was the son of the late Mary L. Collins. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Plymouth congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Constance Williams Collins; four sons, Garry R. Collins and Eric V. Collins, both of Greenville, Jeffrey A. Collins of Raleigh and Sylvester William Collins Sr. of Tarboro; a daughter, Latrina S. Collins of Hampton, Va.; six sisters, Eunice Purkett, Helen McNair, Patty Davenport, Ann Robinson, Aristeen Moore and Carol Spruill, all of Plymouth; three brothers, Wallace Collins and William Collins of Jamesville and Gaston Collins of Chocowinity; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Willis H. Collins Jr., and a brother, Johnny Collins.
