Mr. Phillip Eugene Edwards, 70, of 6459 Sangi Lane, Fayetteville, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. John Jones and the Rev. Larry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was a machinist. He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Beaufort County. He was the son of Eugene Edwards and Ella Bright Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Edwards of the home; one daughter, Penny Higgins of Clayton; one step-son, George Williams of Fayetteville; one step-daughter, Sheri Jones of Fayetteville; one sister, Linda Edwards of Timmonsville, SC; one brother, Benson Edwards of Rockford, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
