Mr. Kenneth Arnold Modlin, 57, of 2890 Manning Road, Jamesville, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A memorial service will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in Cedar Branch Baptist Church, Jamesville with pastor Matthew Fahy and Wayne Ellis officiating.
Mr. Modlin was born in Martin County on Jan. 10, 1951. He was the son of Ella Mae Barber Modlin of Jamesville and the late Arnold Edison Modlin. He was married to Ellen Gray Modlin, who survives. He was employed as a social worker with the Department of Social Services and Martin General Hospital. He was a member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Anne Askew of Williamston and Rachel Blythe Oeters and Catheryn Allegra Modlin, both of Jamesville; one brother, Phillip Warren Modlin of Jamesville and three grandchildren.
