HUBERT — James Franklin Kubricht, 65, of Hubert, NC died Friday, October 31, 2008 at his daughters’ home in Washington, NC. Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at the chapel of Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, with Rev. Harry Carraway officiating. A Memorial Service will follow immediately at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Piney Green, NC.
Mr. Kubricht was born in Sealy, Texas on March 12, 1943 to the late Ben and Myrtle Kubricht. Mr. Kubricht served in the US Marine Corp as a Lance Corporal. He worked for Sprint Telephone for 40 years. He was also a member of Shepard’s Chapel Church for 20 years.
Survivors include four children, Tina Zertuche and husband David of San Antonio, TX, Tambra Matthews and husband Mark of Washington, NC, and George Kubricht and James A. Kubricht, both of Jacksonville; brother, Douglas Kubricht of Sealey, TX; sister, Doris Mozingo of Temple, TX; nine grandchildren, Michael Heath and wife Nicole of Camp Lejeune, Taylor and Erin Matthews, both of Washington, NC, Devon and Kaitlyn Kubricht, both of Kernersville, NC, Beth and Heather Kubricht, both of Newport, NC and Sara and Josh Zertuche of San Antonio, TX; and one great-granddaughter, Kara Heath of San Antonio, TX.
In lieu of flowers, a foundation has been set up, The JFK Foundation Meds in Need for cancer patients that cannot afford cancer medication. Donations can be sent to 259 Clarks Neck Road Washington, NC 27889.
