Mrs. “Lottie” Carol Cahoon Bowen, 65, a resident of 34 Pond Acres, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington, conducted by pastor James Greene.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Elton Cutler, Jr., Frankie Bowen, Al Ange, Dave Clark, Sylvester Rodgers, and Ray McKeithan.
Mrs. Bowen was born in Beaufort county on Oct. 17, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph Charlie Cahoon and Daisy Christabell Ormond Cahoon. Mrs. Bowen was a paper carrier for the Washington Daily News. She was a member of the Bath Christian Church and attended Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church.
On Nov. 2, 1962, she married William Roger Bowen, who preceded her in death March 10, 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Beth Bowen of Raleigh; two sisters, Dorothy Wheaton and Juanita Everson, both of Washington; and two brothers, Marshall Asby of Martinsville, Va., and Edward Asby of Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Paul Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center General Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
