Mrs. Ethel M. Hopkins of 1810 Kader Lilly Road, Williamston, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Jamesville, with the Rev. Gregory Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hopkins was born in Williamston on Sept. 18, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Nancy Alexander Blount. She was a widow. She had been employed at Sexton Store and Coats and Clarks.
Survivors include one nephew, George Harold Alexander of Yonkers, N.Y.; three great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Alexander.
Viewing will take place today from 4-8 p.m. at Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
