Mr. Charles Edgar Hoggard, 69, of 310 New Road, Colerain died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. Preston Jernigan officiating.
Mr. Hoggard was born in Bertie County on Sept. 2, 1939. He was the son of the late William Scott and Mattie Bazemore Hoggard. He was married to Mary Lynn Mizelle Hoggard, who survives. He was retired from Coca Cola Company.
Survivors include two sons, David Hoggard of Lewiston and Andy Hoggard of Follansbee, W.Va.; four sisters, Catherine H. Mizelle of Winterville, Lula Mae Hall of Lewiston, Jean Robbins of Rich Square and Frances Dunlow of Askewville; one brother, Thomas Hoggard of Lewiston and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Hoggard and Wilmer Hoggard.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor and other times at the home.
