Captain Alvin Benjamin Henries, 29, of 1270 South Creek Rd., Aurora, started his final journey toward heaven Wednesday, November 26, 2008 and we wish him a good trip.
He was a successful commercial fisherman and an avid hunter. He was also a great son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Etles &Jean Henries of Aurora; two brothers, Michael Henries and Etles Henries, Jr. both of Aurora; five sisters, Mary Carrow of Greenville, Angie Spence of Eure, Debbie Flowers of New Bern, Iris Martin of Austin, Texas, and Linda Norfleet of Bayboro.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, at Carawan Cemetery, Lowland with the Rev. Blaney Rowe officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, at Bryant Funeral Home, Alliance.
