Phillip A. “Flipper” Forest

Mr. Phillip Anthony “Flipper” Forest, 60, a resident of 431 Shady Banks Road, Washington, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakdale Cemetery.
Mr. Forest was born March 7, 1948 in Bismarck, N.D., He was the son of the late Robert Joseph and Ardis Johnson Forest. He retired as an environmental technician with PCS Phosphate. After graduating from Washington High School, he attended N.C. State University. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a member of the Pirates Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Nicole Woolard, Caroline Forest and Olivia Forest, all of Washington; and two sisters Janet Burgess of Core Point and Jeanne Forest of Durham.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at 406 Lawson Road and other times at the home of Nicole Woolard, 211 Ridgewood Lane.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Pirates Club, ECU Educational Foundation, Ward Sports Medicine Building, Suite 304, Greenville, NC 27858.
