Mr. James “Jimmy” William Blanchard, 66, of Rose Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Wallace United Methodist Church.
He was born in Wilmington on April 30, 1942. He was the son of Marguerite Flynn Blanchard of Rose Hill and the late William T. Blanchard. He served in the Navy and was the former owner of Washington Hydraulics in Washington. He was married to Sylvia Zehrbach Blanchard, who survives.
Survivors include one son, Christopher W. Blanchard of Rose Hill; one daughter, Amy Blanchard Bradshaw of Rose Hill and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the home.
