GREENVILLE— Sam Hinnant scored 18 points to lead East Carolina to a 97-53 victory over UNC-Greensboro on Saturday night.
Six other players reached double figures for East Carolina (8-1), which won its fifth consecutive game, its longest winning streak since December 2003.
UNC-Greensboro (1-6) lost its fifth straight game.
East Carolina led 41-32 at halftime but outscored the Spartans 56-21 the rest of the way.
Sherrod finished with 13 points while Jamar Abrams, James Legan, Brock Young and Chris Turner each added 12 points for the Buccaneers. Chad Wynn also scored 10 points. Young had 12 assists and Darrius Morrow pulled down 10 rebounds.
Montel Smith led UNC-Greensboro with 11 points.
