Mr. Edwin Hugh Perry, age 68, a resident of 2884 Harvey Road, Washington, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, conducted by Rev. Leroy Cutler. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Steve Lee, David Lee, Larry Lee, Coy Evans, James Morgan and Jason Perry.
Mr. Perry was born in Washington on October 8, 1940. He was the son of the late Cleve Bruce Perry and Malissa Woolard Perry. Mr. Perry owned and operated Perry’s Auto Salvage. He was a member of the Down East Rods and Classics, the Bayview Golf Club and Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ.
On April 18, 1975, Mr. Perry married the former Debra Lee, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are his four children, Rhonda Perry and Glenda Ibock, both of Vanceboro, Mark Chandler of Washington, Anita Woolard and her husband, Toby of Washington; three grandchildren, Lee Chandler, Coby Woolard, Autumn Perry; grand dog, “Boss Man”; his brother, Roy Perry and wife, Kay of Deep Run; niece, Jaiden St. Andrews of Deep Run and nephew, Jason Perry of Deep Run.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Monday, December 29, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at the home, 2884 Harvey Road, Washington.
