Mrs. Zonie Bell Hudson Barefield, 90, of Virginia Beach, Va., and formerly of Columbia, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Virginia Beach, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Azalea Memorial Gardens in Creswell, with the Rev. Jimmy Davenport officiating.
Mrs. Barefield was born in Tyrrell County on May 16, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Amanda Cutrell Hudson. She was married to Horace Barefield, who preceded her in death. She was a manager of Stewart Sandwich Shop for more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Brickhouse of Moyock and Jim Brickhouse of Peoria, Ariz.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel, Plymouth.
