Mr. Columbus Earl Wilson, 33, a resident of 2556 Frederick Road, Chocowinity, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at Beach Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Chocowinity, with minister Gregory Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Wilson was born May 8, 1975, in Beaufort County. He was the son of Mary Gardner, who survives, and the late Columbus Satterthwaite Jr. He attended public schools in Wake County. He worked for the Helping Hand Commission in Raleigh. During his early years, he attended Little Grove Holiness Church in Washington.
Survivors include a sister, Brenda Ann Ongori of Raleigh; a grandmother, Madaline Satterthwaite of Belhaven; and a grandfather, Rufus Earl Blount Sr. of Washington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Gray Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the home.
