Rita Gillen Archbell, 60, of Aurora died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at home.
She is survived by one son, Michael Carawan and wife, Richall, of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Carla Spellman and husband, Dysoaneik, of Aurora, one brother, Charles Gillen and wife, Bernice, of Newton Grove, two sisters, Mary Ann Tart-Lauver and husband, James, of Erwin, and Linda Cashwell and husband, Jerry, of Autryville; and seven grandchildren, Vanna Carawan, Brandon Carawan, Christopher Carawan, Kara Carawan, Jasmine Jones, Alexia Spellman and Aaliyah Spellman and a vast host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at White Hill FWB Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009 with the Rev. John Carawan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Bryant Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial contributions be made to Bryant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 99, Alliance, NC 28509.
