JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Amy Lee Hinnant went home to be with her Lord on January 1, 2009. She was born in Washington, NC on May 6, 1929 to the late Pete and Amy Lee Diamond. The final of three siblings, Amy Lee was married to Charles Curtis Hinnant, Sr. for 42 years before his passing in 1994. She leaves behind her daughter, Gayle B. Morris (Robin) of Jacksonville, FL and her son, Charles C. Hinnant, Jr. (Pam) of Albany, GA. Amy Lee was the “Grandmommy” of Brooke Bland (Chris) of London, England, Neal Hinnant and Ashley Hinnant of Albany, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2009 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Edgewood Avenue Christian Church, 1041 Edgewood Avenue South, Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Hinnant will be laid to rest, beside her husband, following the service at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Amy has been a faithful member of Edgewood Avenue Christian Church since 1959. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in her memory.
