Mr. Albert L. “Hambone” Hudson, 78, of 307 W. Main St., Plymouth, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, Plymouth, with Elder Maurice Davenport Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Lee Cemetery, Plymouth.
Mr. Hudson was born in Plymouth on Nov. 16, 1930. He was the son of the late Randolph and Irene Phelps Hudson. He was married to Pauline Fenner Hudson, who preceded him in death. He had worked in the maintenance department of Weyerhaeuser Company.
Survivors include four daughters, Stephanie Hudson, Conita Williams and Cheryl Camp, all of Plymouth, and Druscilla Davenport of Fayetteville; three sons, Albert Tyrone White of Plymouth, James Henry Hudson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Anthony Small of New York; four sisters, Everlener Brooks and Lillie Taylor, both of Plymouth, and Evangelist Laurine McClay and Evangelist Marie White, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing of the body will take place today from 5-8 p.m. at Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
