Mrs. Judie Slade Ebron, 96, of 13679 U.S. Highway 264, Swan Quarter, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at the home of her niece.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Jobie’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Levi Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Ebron was born in Hyde County on May 12, 1912. She was the daughter of the late Bertha and George T. Slade Sr. She was married to Elbert Ebron, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Pride of Hyde Chapter 572 Order of Eastern Star. She was a lifelong member of Jobe’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board.
Survivors include one brother, Garfield Slade of Washington and one stepdaughter, Louise Cooper of Swan Quarter.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home of her niece, Marlene C. McCabe, 1261 Maple St., Washington.
