Blandina Credle Cahoon, 80, of 7705 North Lake Road, Fairfield, died Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Beaufort County Regional Medical Center.
Born in Hyde County, December 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Seth Bridgman Credle, Sr. and Nellie “Claudia” Jarvis Credle.
She was married to James Lawson Cahoon, Sr. who preceded her in death. During her working years, she worked with Hyde County Health Department as a home health aide. She was a member of Swan Quarter Christian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the family plot in Fairfield Cemetery. Mike Wheeler and Steve Bryan will officiate.
Surviving are three sons, James Lawson Cahoon, Jr. of Plymouth, Kenneth S. Cahoon of Swan Quarter, David B. Cahoon of Fairfield; two daughters, Claudia C. Cahoon of Swan Quarter and Bridgette C. Midgett of Buxton; grandchildren, James B. Cahoon, Timothy D. Cahoon, Dean S. Cahoon, Kristen C. Noble, Jaime C. Spencer, Lyla C. Marshall, Emma C. Williams, Nancy J. Cahoon and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald D. Cahoon and Eric C. Cahoon; brother, Seth Bridgman Credle Jr.; sisters, Edith C. Thompson and Helen C. Mason.

The family will receive friends at the home, 7705 North Lake Road, Fairfield.
