Mr. David Tuten Jr., 75, of 173 Louden Road, Aurora, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthew Free Will Baptist Church, Bonnerton, with pastor Demetris Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memory Cemetery, Blounts Creek.
Mr. Tuten was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 18, 1933. He was the son of the late Lela Bell Moore Tuten and David Tuten Sr. He attended the Beaufort County Schools. He retired from Singer Furniture Co., Chocowinity. He also worked at Heilig Meyers Co., Aurora, until it closed. He was a member of St. Matthew Free Will Baptist Church, Bonnerton, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include four brothers, Moses Lee Moore, William Moore, Hilton Tuten and Joseph Brown and three sisters, Melvinia Roberson, Annie Adams and Margaret Moore.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home and also at the home of his niece, Maxine Glenn, 1739 Minor Run Road, Edward.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
