Mrs. H. Polly Fyle, 83, formerly of 351 Jones Bridge Road, Pinetown, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Britthaven of Washington.
A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Pamlico Memorial Gardens with pastor Woodrow Freeze officiating.
Mrs. Fyle was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 25, 1925. She was the daughter of the late William T. and Katie Radcliff Windley. She was married to Samuel Leon “Lee” Fyle Sr., who survives. She graduated from Bath High School. She retired as a typist with Elliott Addressing Co. in 1955. She was a member of Free Union Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William T. Fyle of Wilson and Samuel L. Fyle Jr. of Darlington, S.C.; one sister, Erma Dean Paul of Moyock; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George T. Windley and Nathan T. Windley and one sister, Rosa Lee Tetterton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Free Union Free Will Baptist Church, 4961 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
