MOREHEAD CITY — Mr. James Edward Adams Jr., 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Morehead City with S. H. Barrow III presiding. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr. Adams was born in Washington on May 26, 1934 to the late James Edward Adams Sr. and the late Rosa Lee Holland Adams. He graduated from Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in 1953. He married Annie Laura Branche of Beaufort, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Laurie Murrell of Morehead City; one son, Jimmy Adams of Morehead City; one sister, Rose Batts of Morehead City; four brothers, Robert Adams of New York, William Adams, Roy Adams and Conrad Adams, all of Morehead City; two aunts, Annie Small of Plymouth, Margaret Carter of Beaufort.
