What can we do this year as businesses and leaders of our community to make our community a better place to work and live?
1) To be the premier voice for business in our community while being aware of the needs of our residents and visitors. Understanding that businesses are attracted to and flourish in communities where quality of life is important.
2) To be proactively involved with our city, county and state governments. To work with government leaders to develop good business and quality of life policy so that we can attend their meetings to be for something instead of waiting for policies that we are against.
3) To have a service attitude. To be bold in our ambition, but humble in our achievement. To encourage and lead with that attitude of service throughout our community, from our smallest merchants, to our largest industry.
4) To encourage all departments and leaders within our city and county governments to have that attitude of service. From education to healthcare, from our churches and organizations, to our families and individuals. If we have an attitude of service, our community will be a better place to work and live and visit.
A place where we measure our prosperity, not by what we take, but by what we give.
