Mrs. Ella Nell Cobb Oden, formerly of 355 N. Respess St., Washington, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Ridgewood Manor.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Washington Heights Church of God in Christ with pastor Evelyn Ross and Bishop James Boston officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb family cemetery.
Mrs. Oden was born in Pitt County on April 16, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Allen and Mary Langley Cobb. She attended the Pitt County Schools. She was married to Charlie W. Oden Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Who So Ever Will Ministry of Keyesville Road.
Survivors include one son, Charlie W. Oden Jr. of Washington; one stepson, Shane Glover of Williamston; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rosa Cobb, Anna Cobb Lyles, Elizabeth Cobb, Irvin Cobb and James Cobb.
The family will receive friends today from 2-6 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, and other times at the home of her son, Charlie Oden, 301 W. Sixth St., Washington.
