Mrs. Betty Sue Butler Mizelle, 86, of 106 W. Maple St., Windsor, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Revs. Jim Cox and J.N. Baggett officiating.
Mrs. Mizelle was born in Bertie County on Nov. 16, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Edward and Rosa G. Leggett Butler. She was married to Delk Mizelle, who survives. She was a retired clerk at Pope’s Store. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Eugene Mizelle of Palm Bay, Fla.; one sister, Dolly Perry of Windsor; one brother, Kenny Butler of Melbourne, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Cherry and Virginia Todd.
The family will receive friends today from 6-7:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home.
