Mrs. Ola Chesson Patrick, 98, of Roper, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Plumblee Nursing Center in Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Roper, with Edgar Masencup and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery, Roper.
Mrs. Patrick was born in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Alpheuse and Bonnie Swanner Chesson. She was married to Harold W. Patrick, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was the last living member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca P. Mautz of Chesapeake, Va., Lois P. Krawczyk of Roper, and Kaye P. Davenport of Suffolk, Va.; one brother, Gordon A. Chesson of Roper; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucille Patrick; one son, Harlin D. Patrick; one sister, Sadie C. Stillman and four brothers, Hilton O. Chesson, Roland M. Chesson, Dallas M. Chesson and Kenneth J. Chesson.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
