Mrs. Hazel Allen Woolard

Mrs. Hazel Allen Woolard, age 76, of 5800 Highway 99N, Pantego, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Davis Cemetery with Scott Askew officiating. Kenny Dunbar, Benny Rose, Greg Sawyer, Al Sawyer, Harry Lee Mann, and Doug Armstrong will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington and other times at the home.
Mrs. Woolard was born February 13, 1932 in Beaufort County. She was the daughter of the late Fred Cleveland and Martha Neal Allen. She graduated from Pantego High School in 1950. On October 28, 1950, she married Norris Harold Woolard. Mrs. Woolard was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Norris Harold Woolard; one daughter, Melva Marlene Woolard of Pantego; one son, Melvin Ray Woolard, Sr. of Pantego; one brother, James Paul Allen of Pantego; two grandchildren, Melvin Ray Woolard, Jr. and his wife, Joel of Plymouth, and Elizabeth Ashlee Woolard of Farmville; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner Scott Woolard and Sierra Cutler Woolard.
Mrs. Woolard was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood Allen and Harold Allen.
