Mrs. Lizzie H. Spencer, 88, of 7495 N.C. Highway 94, Fairfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at 439 Ave. A, Galloway, N.J.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Star of Zion Church of Christ with pastor Maxine Allen of New Jersey officiating. Burial will follow in Harris family cemetery, Fairfield.
Mrs. Spencer was born in Hyde County on Oct. 19, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude Sadler and Joseph Harris. She was a housewife.
Survivors include eight sons, Joseph Spencer of Connecticut, Lawrence Spencer of Smithfield, Macarthur Spencer, Alvin Spencer and Allen Spencer, all of Fairfield, Adonis Spencer of Maryland, Carcos Spencer of Norfolk, Va., and Victor Spencer of Vanceboro; two daughters, Charlene Merrick of Connecticut and Pattie Spencer of New Jersey; one sister, Herma M. Hall of New Jersey and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
