Mrs. Arline R. Evans

Mrs. Arline Rozelle Evans, age 82, a resident of 655 Keysville Road, Washington, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Bath United Methodist Church, conducted by Pastor Kelli Sorg and Carol Richardson.
Mrs. Evans was born in Luzerne County, Pa. on September 15, 1926. She was the daughter of the late William Stanley Rozelle and Edith May Belles Rozelle. On June 15, 1947, Mrs. Evans married George Franklin Evans, who preceded her in death, January 25, 1995. She lived in Roslyn, Pa. before moving here in 1987. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bath United Methodist Church, president of the Bath UMC Women, and member of the Prayer Shawl committee.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Franklin Evans and his wife, Sarah of Raleigh; her daughter, Eloise E. Wood of Washington; two granddaughters, Jennifer Wood of Washington, Krystal Turner of Yanceyville; one grandson, Christopher Chandler of Raleigh; two sisters, Wanda Vopleus and husband, Cecil of Athol, NY, Thais Gries and her husband, Carl of Harrisburg, PA; and sister in law, Glenna Rozelle of Orange, PA.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond C. Rozelle.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at the home.
