Mrs. Maggie Hoggard Hardison, 72, of 5139 Everetts Road, Williamston, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church, Williamston. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hardison was born in Washington County on Feb. 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late William and Rowena Hoggard. She was married to William “Bill” Hardison, who preceded her in death. She retired from Ithaca Manufacturing. She was member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church, Williamston.
Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Morgan of Wilson, Barbara Hardison of Oak City and Rhonda Hardison and Billie Jo Warren, both of Williamston; two sons, Charles Bentley Hardison of Oak City and Gary Lee Hardison of Robersonville; one sister, Sally Gardner of Jamesville; two brothers, William Earl Cowan of Williamston and Roy Hoggard of Robersonville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one stepsister, Leslie Ward of Virginia; one half sister, Marsella Ward of Bear Grass; two half brothers, Robert Hoggard of Winterville and Kenny Hoggard, and her stepmother, Lena Mae Hoggard of Bear Grass.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Scott.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1248 Tyner Road, Williamston.
