Mrs. Mary Manning Lilley, 90, of Oak City, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Oak City Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Tice Cemetery.
Mrs. Lilley was born in Martin County on Jan. 1, 1919. She was the daughter of the late William Dave Manning and Arbelle Jones Manning. In 1935, she married Urban Lilley, who preceded her in death in 1968. She was a retired farmer. She was a member of Oak City Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy L. Hearn of Carrboro; two sisters, Betty M. Chesson of Williamston and Thelma M. Truitt of Wrightsville Beach; one brother, Buck Manning of Williamston; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Jacy, Darrell, Thurman, Bobby, Ervin, Dalmer Gray, Leslie, Bill and Julius Manning, and one sister, Dolores M. Holloman.
Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston.
