Mr. James Ray “Jimmy” Morris, 40, a resident of 308 Kelly Lane, Blounts Creek, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his home.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Roy P. Morris officiating.
Mr. Morris was born in Kershaw County, S.C., on Dec. 19, 1968, the son of Otis Ray Morris and Vonnie Payne Cole. He married Stacey Marie Fields on June 28, 2008. She survives. He was a truck driver for Americhem.
Survivors include his son, Cody Ray Morris of Clarksburg, W.Va.; his daughter, Ashley Nicole Fields of Blounts Creek; his father, Ray Morris of Bridgeton; his mother, Vonnie Cole of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Sherry Lee Brewer of Camden, S.C., and Jenny Lynn Beckham of Lancaster, S.C.; and three brothers, Steven E. Morris, Jamie Morris and Brandon Morris, all of Bridgeton.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
