Mr. Robert Barry Kreisher died Saturday, March 14, 2009.
A celebration of life will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, Washington.
Mr. Kreisher was born Aug. 20, 1935, the son of the late Clifford and Naomi Kreisher. On June 21, 1957, he married Nancy Churchill Kreisher, who survives. He was a chief warrant officer in the Army from 1953 to 1966. He had lived in Washington since 1968.
Survivors include his children, Robbie Kriesher of Charlotte, Laurie Stocks of Hurricane, W.Va., Julie Prater of Wenatchee, Wash., Alison Woolard of Washington, Mark Kreisher of Simpsonville, S.C., and Jennifer Powell of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Dot Kreisher and one sister, Sara Jane Gower.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Marion L. Sheppard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC 27889.
