Mr. Ray Neil Baker Sr., 59, of 320 Bakertown Road, Windsor, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the cemetery of Capeharts Baptist Church with the Revs. Jake Dunlow and David Baker officiating.
Mr. Baker was born in Bertie County on April 4, 1949. He was the son of the late Enoch Ledrew and Sybil Hoggard Baker. He was married to Francis Spruill Baker, who survives. He retired from RJ Reynolds as a lab manager. He was a member of Capeharts Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Shannon Baker of Greenville; one son, Neil Baker Jr. of Windsor; one sister, Carol B. Penn of Williamston and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Ledrew Baker, and one brother, Gary Baker.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
